In Jan. 1983, Grand Master Jimmy H. Woo awarded Chuck Cory the rank of
Master of San Soo. Master Cory continued teaching San Soo until Feb. 1992,
when he turned the school over to one of his top students. He eventually
settled in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Master Cory remained a known and
respected member of the San Soo community. His reputation was based entirely
on his skill and knowledge of San Soo, and strengthened by his students.

such student, Bart Ryan, began teaching San Soo in Atlanta, GA. He continued
until 1999, at which point he relocated to California. Two of his students, Howard G. Scrivens and Brian R. Corsi, decided to petition Master Cory to continue their training in San Soo. Master Cory agreed and the two moved from Atlanta to Michigan. Master Cory made the decision to teach San Soo again to the public. |

His goals are, and have always been, to teach an effective and practical fighting system, and to continue the traditions of Kung Fu San Soo. Master Cory, along with his instructors, opened San Soo Michigan on July 25th 2000. In February 2006 with Master Cory's departure from Michigan, Jeffrey P. Cornelius now leads the school, which continues to flourish into the future. |
